What is a warrior task and battle drill? A skill taught to soldiers on how to survive in combat
What is the purpose of learning warrior tasks and battle drills? To enhance a soldiers readiness to fight on the battlefield
What is a warrior task? An individual skill that is critical to a soldiers survival Ex:weapons training, tactical communication, urban operations,first aid.
What is a battle drill? A group skill designed to teach a unit how to react and survive in a combat situation. Ex: react to ambush, react to chemical attack, move as a member of a field team,perform tactical combat care
What is the difference between a warrior task and a battle drill? A warrior task is an individual skill and Battle drills are a group skill designed to teach the unit to react and survive in a combat situation
What is the benefit of a warrior task and battle drills? To keep all training current to all combat requirements
How many warrior tasks and battle drills are there? 65 warrior tasks 62 battle drills Total of 127
5 categories of warrior tasks? 1. Shoot/maintain,employ,and engage targets with individual assigned weapon system 2. Move 3. Communicate 4. Survive 5. Adapt
7 categories of battle drills? 1. React to contact 2. Establish security 3. Perform actions as a member of a convoy 4. Evacuate a casualty 5. React to ambush (near) 6. React to ambush (far) 7. React to direct fire
Examples of warrior Taskes 1. Load an M16/M4 rifle 2. Engage targets with M16/M4 rifle 3. Zero the M16/M4 rifle 4. Employ hand grenades 5. Identify terrain features on a map 6. Move over, through, and around obstacles 7.move under direct fire 8.perform voice communication
