Ratios

QuestionAnswer
Ratio a comparison of two quantities that have the same unit of measure
Proportion an equation that states two ratios are equal
Rate a comparison of quantities that have different units of measure
Equivalent two values, numbers or quantities which are the same
Simplify reduce to a simpler form
Proportional when quantities have the same relative size. In other words they have the same ratio
Coordinate Plane formed by the intersection of a horizontal number line called the x-axis and a vertical number line called the y-axis
Quantity an amount, number, or measurement that can be expressed as whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percentages, and units of measurement such as time, money, length, and weight
Table information (such as numbers and descriptions) arranged in rows and columns
Compare examine the differences between numbers, quantities or values to decide if it is greater than, smaller than or equal to another quantity
