| edge | a line segment where 2 faces meet on a solid figure |

| net | a 2D representation of a solid figure, it can be cut out and folded to recreate the 3D figure, used to find the surface area of a solid figure |
| vertex | a point where two edges meet, a corner, forms an angle |
| surface area | the number of square units it takes to cover all of the surfaces of a 3D figure |
