paint n. a liquid that dries to form a thin colored layer; v to cover with paint; v to make a picture by using paint
draw v. to make a picture by making lines on a surface using a pen, pencil, or marker (not using paint)
artist n. a person who creates art
fine arts n. a type of art that creates (painting, sculpture, music)
landscape n. a picture that shows a natural scene of land
portrait n. a picture that shows a person from the shoulders up
genuine adj. real or true
fake adj. not true or real
gallery n. a building where art is shown for people to see
exhibition n. an event where art is put out in public for people to see
calligraphy n. the art of making beautiful handwriting
sculpture n. art that is made by carving or molding clay, stone, metal, or wood
statue n. a figure of a person or animal that is made from clay, stone, metal, or wood
craft n. an activity that involves making something in a skillful way using your hands
architecture n. the art of designing and creating buildings
representative n. typical of a specific group of people; a person chosen to speak for a group of people
masterpiece n. something done with great skill and talent; can be used to talk about art, music, literature, movies, etc
