| Frontier(s) | the extreme limit of understanding or achievement in a particular area. |
| Embody | be an expression of or give a tangible or visible form to (an idea, quality, or feeling). ex. "a team that embodies competitive spirit and skill" |
| Chronic | something that happens frequently |
| Applied Research | Applied science is the application of existing scientific knowledge to practical applications, like technology or inventions. |
| Stark | apparent, clear, or drastic |
| Vigorous | with much energy; intense activity |
| Broad-based | wide-ranging; general. "we expect to see broad-bex. ased support" |
| Depleted | something that is used to the point of almost emptiness |
| Evolvable | the capacity of a system for adaptive evolution. |
