Cyber security the body of technologies, processes, and practices designed to protect networks, devices, programs, and data from attack, damage, or unauthorized access.
Encryption the process of converting information or data into a code, especially to prevent unauthorized access.
Binary code a coding system using the binary digits 0 and 1 to represent a letter, digit, or other character in a computer or other electronic device.
Hexadecimal relating to or using a system of numerical notation that has 16 rather than 10 as its base.
Baconian Cipher Bacon's cipher or the Baconian cipher is a method of message encoding devised by Francis Bacon in 1605.
Pigpen Cipher The pigpen cipher is a geometric simple substitution cipher, which exchanges letters for symbols which are fragments of a grid.
Morse code Morse code is a method used in telecommunication to encode text characters as standardized sequences of two different signal durations, called dots and dashes or dits and dahs.
Antivirus software Software that helps to prevents viruses
Firewall A firewall is a system designed to prevent unauthorized access to or from a private network.
Hacker a person who uses computers to gain unauthorized access to data
Keylogger a computer program that records every keystroke made by a computer user, especially in order to gain fraudulent access to passwords and other confidential information.
Phishing the fraudulent practice of sending emails purporting to be from reputable companies in order to induce individuals to reveal personal information, such as passwords and credit card numbers.
Spyware software that enables a user to obtain covert information about another's computer activities by transmitting data covertly from their hard drive.
Malware software that is specifically designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to a computer system.
Virus A computer virus is a malicious software program loaded onto a user's computer without the user's knowledge and performs malicious actions
