The main cause of WW1 Asssentaion; someone killing someone out of the blue.
What are the trenches The trenches were long narrow ditches in the ground so that soilders could hide themselves. These were very bad living conditions for soilders as it caused them to developed medical continuous such as trench foot.
What events happened in the Halifax Explosion Two ships collided and one ship had a bunch of explosives on board. Since they collided the explosives exploded which creates the largest human mass explosion.
How did new technologies influence the course of the war New technologies such as position gas, tanks and machine guns influenced the war by making it harder for the soilders to defend themselves, but also made i5 easier for those who were using them. These new technologies forced soilders to use trenches
What is the treaty of Versailles A peace treaty that brought WW1 to an end and Germany had a lot of dept to pay because they were blamed for much of the damage
Decsribe the women the war/ elections at home. How did they help over seas and at home The war allowed women to do jobs that men could do, such as vote and helped develope equality. In early 1900s the women would raise children, cook, clean and grocery shop.
Describe conscription Conscription is when someone is enlisted in the war. The conscription for WW1 started out as men aged 18-40 and then in 1916 also included married men.
Describe the League of Nations The League of Nations was an organization headquartered in Switzerland that helped resolve international issues.
Describe War bonds and Victory Bonds Countries would borrow money from the government during the war and have to return it as debt afterwards.
