Skeletal System Gives your body structure, lets you move in many ways, protects your internal organs
Sternum A strong bone in the center of your chest that holds your ribs in place!
Ribs Heart, lungs and liver are protected by a cage of bones around your chest
Skull Bones that protect your brain and make up the structure of your face
Scapula Known as your collar bone
Pelvis Bowl shape structure that supports the spine it includes your hip bone
Femur Goes from your pelvis to your knee and is the largest bone in your body
Patella Known as your knee caps and protects your knee joints
Joint Place where two bones meet, so move some don't
Ligaments Bones are held together at the joint by these they are like rubber bands
Collagen Protein that bones are made of along with a mineral called calcium, that makes the framework hard and strong
Cartilage A flexible rubbery substance in our joints, supports bones and protects them where they rub against each other
Tendons Connects muscle to bone
