QuestionAnswer
Mixtures combinations of elements and/or compounds that can be physically separated
Homogeneous It's a mixture with the same costume (could look like a pure substance)
Solutions Its a liquid mixture that has something dissolved in it (which you can't see<solute>) and looks more like the major component (solvent)
Solute The small component in a mixture that was dissolved in the solvent
Colloids A colloid is a substance microscopically dispersed evenly throughout another substance.
Solvent A solvent is the component of a solution that is present in the greatest amount. ( the one that dissolved the solute)
Heterogeneous Its a mixture in which the substances are not evenly mixed and you can often see the difference
Suspension Its a hetero mixture in which particles are so large they settle out
