Voltaic/Galvanic cell Uses chemical reactions to produce electricity. Chemical to electrical energy.
Electrolytic cell Uses electricity to produce chemical reactions. Electrical to chemical energy.
Primary cell Galvanic cell that runs from an irreversable chemical reaction
Secondary cell Galvanic cell that where the chemical reaction can be reversed (recharged)
Fuel cell A primary galvanic cell that runs from continual input supply of fuel
