Verbos usando el preterito indefinido y el preterito imperfecto

I was a very bad tennis player when I was young. Era un jugador de tenis muy malo cuando era joven.
I was a good singer when I was eight years old. Era un buen cantante cuando tenía ocho años.
They went to the opera yesterday. Fueron a la opera ayer.
They went to the movies when they were children. Iban al cine cuando eran niños.
We were at the beach house last week. Estuvimos en la casa de la playa la semana pasada.
You ate a lot when you were a teenager. Comías mucho cuando eras un adolescente.
She wore black shoes when she went to school. Llevaba zapatos negros cuando iba a la escuela.
Did you speak to your uncle? ¿Hablaste con tu tío?
Did you follow the map? ¿Seguiste el mapa?
Did you order the fish of the day? ¿Pediste el pescado del dia?
He listened to the radio at 3pm every day for the weather forecast. Escuchaba la radio a las 3 de la tarde todos los días para el pronóstico del tiempo.
I should have visited the doctor when I was sick. Debería haber visitado al médico cuando estaba enfermo.
I made a cake last Sunday. Hice un pastel el domingo pasado.
