QuestionAnswer
What is meiosis? Meiosis is the process of cells reproduce sex cell happen in multicellular (Eukaryotes) only.
Can prokaryotic reproduce cell by Meiosis? No, prokaryotic don't reproduce sex cell but they use mitosis to reproduce body cells
what is the name of organ in animals reproduce sex cell? Gonads
How many daughter cells duplicate in meiosis? 4 Haploid daughter cells
What is haploid? Haploid is the cells that carry only single sets of chromosome or sex cell
Explain the process of Meiosis. Meiosis have 2 divisions -meiosis 1 and meiosis 2 starting with parent cell divides cells to 4 daughter cells which each one has single different chromosomes than parent cell called haploid.
How many Chromosomes in human? Human has 46 chromosomes which is 23 pairs of chromosomes.
How many pairs of chromosome is sex cell in human? 1 pair of chromosome
What is gametes? Gamates are the sex cells or reproductive cells that carry only 1 set of genetic material
Why do daughter cells in meiosis have genetically different? Because during meiosis, the homologous chromosomes exchange gene or mix with other chromosomes called gene sequence and after mixed up then separates to difference kind of chromosomes.
What is reproduction in unicellular organisms different from reproduction in multicellular organisms? Unicellular organisms duplicate their DNA before they divide into separate cell. BUT multicellular do not duplicate but rather combine 1 chromosome to other 1 chromosome.
What is the zygotes? Zygotes is body cell which is the new diploid or offspring which contain homologous chromosomes by half mom and half dad.
Mitosis is? Mitosis is the process of parent cells duplicates all of its identical daughter cells and have same chromosome and DNA as parent cell. Mitosis is division cell for repair and maintenance damaged or dying cells
What is the cytokinesis? Cytokinesis is the last process of mitosis that cell already split into 2 membrane - bound cells.
Can prokaryotic cells have mitosis as cell division? yes, they can only have mitosis as cells divide.
What is the binary fission? the binary fission is asexual reproduction of single cell or unicellular by a separates body cell into 2 new bodies
How many daughter cells in mitosis? 2 daughter cells which are diploid cells.
what is diploid cells? Diploid cells are the cell that carries

Use these flashcards to help memorize information. Look at the large card and try to recall what is on the other side. Then click the card to flip it. If you knew the answer, click the green Know box. Otherwise, click the red Don't know box.

When you've placed seven or more cards in the Don't know box, click "retry" to try those cards again.

If you've accidentally put the card in the wrong box, just click on the card to take it out of the box.

You can also use your keyboard to move the cards as follows:

If you are logged in to your account, this website will remember which cards you know and don't know so that they are in the same box the next time you log in.

When you need a break, try one of the other activities listed below the flashcards like Matching, Snowman, or Hungry Bug. Although it may feel like you're playing a game, your brain is still making more connections with the information to help you out.
