What does Elizabeth ask John to do? To go to Salem to tell the authorities that Abigail was lying about the night the girls were in the woods.
Why does John hesitate to go to Salem? Because he will have to reveal that it was Abigail who told him and she will probably not only lie, but she could possibly make things worse by accusing John proctor of witchcraft.
How did marry warren upset her employees Because she went to court
Why is Elizabeth suspicious of John proctor Because he lied to her about being alone with Abigail.
What did Mary warren give Elizabeth A poppet that she made in court
Why is Sarah hood accused of witchcraft Because she mumbled while begging for food, confessed to being a witch, and she could not recite the commandments
Why does Abigail want to kill Elizabeth? So she can take her place as john’s wife
Where did reverend hale go and why? To the proctors house to get to know their Christian nature
Why is hale suspicious of John proctor Because he does not regularly attend church, his last child isn’t baptized and he could not recite all of the Ten Commandments.
Why was Rebecca nurse accused of using witchcraft To kill goody putnums Seven babies
Why does Cheever come to the proctors house? To arrest elizabeth for witchcraft
Why does elizabeth get arrested for witchcraft? Because Cheever finds a poppet with a needle in its stomach
What does Abigail blame elIzabeth for? For her Spirit coming and stabbing her in the stomach
Why does marry warren not want to testify? Because she thinks Abigail will kill her.
