QuestionAnswer
Valence electrons The electrons farthest from the nucleus ; they are responsible for atoms forming compounds.
Molecule 2 or more atoms chemically combined.
Compound 2 different atoms chemically combined.
Mixture A combination of 2 or more different atoms or molecules that are not chemically combined.
Covelent bond chemical bond between 2 nonmetals .
Ionic bond chemical bond between a metal and a nonmetal.
Octet rule Elements are stable when there valence shell is full. This can be done with 8 or in some cases 2.
