Pronoun Terms

| point of view | the position of the speaker in relation to what is being written or spoken |
| first person pronoun | the speaker is part of the story( I, we, me, us, my, our, ourselves |
| second person pronoun | the person is speaking directly to someone( you, your, yours, yourself, yourselves |
| third person pronoun | you are speaking about others not part of the story( he, she, it, is, her, hers, its, himself, herself, itself, they, them, their, theirs, themselves |

| subjective case pronoun | pronouns that can be subjects of sentences and "doers" of action |
