Why does Brutus repeat the word Honor 3 times in his speech? He wanted to reinforce the fact upon the crowd that the murder was an honorable thing.
What is the psychology of telling the crowd that he rose against Caesar, not that I loved Caesar less, but I Loved Rome more"? The comon good of the people is a higher cause than the life of one person.
Why does Brutus sayabout Marc Antony "though he had no hand in (Caesar's) death, shall receive the benefit of his dying"? Antony will experience the good that will come from this act.
How does the crowd react to Brutus' speech? As a better part of Caesar
What does the crowd think of Caesar? They think he is a Tyrant
Antony want to stir the crowd to civil war - Why does he start out by calling Brutus and company "Honorable Men"? Brutus spoke of Honor - only Antony is being Sarcastic when he speaks of Honor
How has the crowd reacted to Antony's Eulogy? They are being Manipulated - he wants the crowd to take action
How does the term "Honorable Men" take on new meaning as Antony continues speaking? He uses the term to insult conspirators
Why does Antony say he won't read Caesar's will - What will it do to the citizens? It will make the crowd angry
Why does Antony have the crowd surround Caesar's body as he reads the will? Why does he show the crowd Caesar's stabbed corpse? To let the crowd see the pitiful spectacle
Why does Antony point out each stabb wound and name the person who did it? To make the murder personal
Why has Antony started and ended this section with the word "Mutiny" Antony wants a Mutiny - revenge for Caesar's death
Once Antony is done speaking, what do the people want to do to the Conspirators and especially Brutus? Kill them as Villains
What does Caesar bequeath every Roman Citizenin his will? 75 Drachmas (Money)
How does this aid the revenge that Antony seeks? It shows tht Caesar thought of the people.
