QuestionAnswer
Alliteration repetion of the same or very similar consonant sounds usually in the beginning of words close together
Allusion Reference to a statement, person, place, or event from literature, history, politics, sports, pop culture, or science
Analogy comparison made between two things to show how they are alike in some way
Refrain repeated word, phrase, line, group of lines
Couplet two consecutive lines of poetry that rhyme
Rhythm musical quality in language produced by reptition, length of line, rhyme, number of syllables, stressed and unstressed syllables and other poetic constructions
Diction a writer or speakers choice of words
End rhyme rhyming words that occur at the end of lines
