QuestionAnswer
central idea - is also called the main idea - the overall message of the text that a writer intends to convey to the audience
interactions - a process by which two or more things affect each other
text structure - refers to how the text is organized
cause and effect - the reader is told the result of an event or occurrence and the reasons it happened
chronological order - the reader is told about events in the order that they happened
order of importance - the reader is told the order in which steps in a process or series of events occur
problem and solution - the reader is presented a problem and a solution
compare and contrast - the reader is told about the differences and similarities of two or more objects, places, events or ideas
argument - a reason or set of reasons given with the aim of persuading others that an action or idea is right or wrong
claim - to say that something is true or is a fact
counterclaim - the opinion of those who might disagree with you
point of view - the perspective from which a story is told
