| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Metals | Found on the left of the periodic table |
| Metalloids | Zig Zag line on the periodic table in the middle/right |
| Non-Metals | Found on the far right of the periodic table |
| Luster | Characteristics of metals and it means to shine |
| Malleable | Characteristics of metals and it means to be able to be flattened without crumbling |
| Ductile | Characteristics of metals and it means to be able to be drawn out into thin wire |
| Semiconductor | Characteristics of metalloids and it means to conduct heat and electricity sometimes |
| Brittle | Characteristics of nonmetals and it means to crumble |
| Dull | Characteristics of nonmetals and it means to have no luster |
| Corrosive | Characteristics of metals, it is the ability to rust |
| Melting | State of matter change, occurs when a solid goes to a liquid |
| Boilling | State of matter change, occurs when a liquid goes to a gas throughout the liquid |
| Evaporation | State of matter change, occurs when a liquid goes to a gas on the surface of the liquid |
| Freezing | State of matter change, occurs when a liquid to a solid throughout the liquid |
| Condensation | State of matter change, occurs when a gas to a liquid when humid air comes in contact with it |
| Sublimation | State of matter change, occurs when a solid to gas without passing through the liquid phase |
| Deposition | State of matter change, occurs when a gas converts to a solid without passing through the liquid phase |
