organization of the periodic table
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Metals | Found on the far left of the periodic table. |
| Metalloids | Zig Zag line on the table, in the middle/right |
| Non-Metals | Found on the far right of the periodic table |
| Luster | Characteristic of metals and it means shine |
| Malleable | Characteristic of metals and it means to be able to be flattened without crumbling |
| Ductile | Characteristic of metals and it means to be able to be drawn out into a thin wire |
| Semiconductor | Characteristic of metalloids and it means to conduct heat and electricity sometimes |
| Brittle | Characteristic of nonmetals and it means crumble |
| Dull | Characteristic of nonmetals and its means to have no luster |
| Corrosive | Characteristic of metals, it is the ability to rust |
| Melting | State of matter change, occurs when solid goes to liquid |
| Boiling | State of matter change, occurs when a liquid goes to a gas, occurs throughout the liquid |
| evaporation | State of matter change, occurs when a liquid changes to a gas, occurs only in the surface |
| freezing | State of matter change, occurs when a liquid changes to a solid |
| condensation | State of matter change, occurs when a gas changes to liquid |
| deposition | State of matter change, occurs when a gas changes to liquid |
| sublimation | State of matter change, occurs when a solid changes into a gas |
