organization of periodic table/ particles
| Term | Definition |

| Metals | Found on the far left of the periodic table |
| Metalloids | Zig zag line on the table, in the middle / right |
| Non-Metals | found on the far right of the periodic table |
| Luster | characteristic of metals and it means to shine |
| Malleable | characteristic of metals and it means to be able to be flattened with out crumbling |
| Ductile | characteristic of metals and it means to be able to be drawn out into a thin wire |
| Semiconducter | characteristic of Metalloids and it means to conduct heat and electricity sometimes |
| Brittle | characteristic of non-metals and it means to crumble |
| Dull | characteristic of non-metals and it means to have no luster |
| Corrosive | characteristic of metals, it is the ability to rust |
| Melting | state of matter change, occurs when a solid goes to a liquid |
| Boiling | state of matter change, occurs when liquid goes to a gas . this occurs through out the entire liquid |
| Evaporation | state of matter change, occurs when a liquid goes to a gas. this occurs on the surface of the liquid. |
| Freezing | state of matter change, occurs when a liqiud goes to a solid |
| Condesation | state of matter change, occurs when a gas goes to a liquid |
| Depostion | state of matter change, occurs when gas goes to a solid |
| Sublimation | state of matter change, occur when a solid goes to a gas |
