Organization of the Periodic Table/Particles
Term | Definition |

Metals | Found on the far left of the periodic table. |
Metalloids | Zig-zag line on the periodic table, in the middle-right. |
Non-Metals | Found on the far right of the periodic table. |
Luster | Characteristic of metals, it means to shine. |
Malleable | Characteristic of metals, it means to be able to be flattened without crumbling. |
Ductile | Characteristic of metals, it means to be able to be drawn out into a thin wire. |
Semiconductor | Characteristic of metalloids, it means to conduct heat and (sometimes) electricity. |
Brittle | Characteristic of non-metals, it means to crumble. |
Dull | Characteristic of non-metals, it means to have no luster. |
Corrosive | Characteristic of metals, it means to have the ability to rust. |
Melting | State of matter change, occurs when a solid becomes a liquid. |
Boiling | State of matter change, occurs when a liquid becomes a gas . |
Evaporation | State of matter change, occurs when a liquid becomes a gas . |
Freezing | State of matter change, occurs when a liquid becomes a solid. |
Condensation | State of matter change, occurs when a gas becomes a liquid. |
Deposition | State of matter change, occurs when a gas becomes a solid . |
