STERNUM - 1-axial-nicknamed: breastbone-top part= manubrium-middle part= gladiolus-bottom part= xiphoid process-5 pair of false ribs (costal cartilage)-7 pair of true ribs
PELViS BONE - 2- appendicular- nicknamed the hip bone- makes up the pelvic girdle
ULNA - 2- appendicular- medial to the bone that lies beside it- helps to form the elbow
SACRUM - 1- made up of 5 fused bones- nicknamed: butt bone- pelvis(hip) bone attaches to it
TiBiA - 2- appendicular- lies medial to the bone beside it- nicknamed: skin
SCAPULA - 2- axial- nicknamed: shoulder blade- forms pectoral girdle- found on the dorsal side of the body
FEMUR - 2- appendicular- nicknamed: thigh bone- helps to form the knee- helps to form the pelvis(hip,oscoxa) - medialepicondyle process at bottom- head process at top
PATELLA - 2- appendicular- nicknamed: knee cap- short bone
TARSAL - 14- make up the ankle
METATARSALS - 10- middle part of foot
PHALANGES - 28 (fingers) 28 (toes)- make up the fingers and toes
