TermDefinition
Exposition The beginning of the story when you are introduced to the characters, setting and conflict
Conflict/Complication Something happens to being the action/the exciting part
Rising Action Suspense builds as the conflict grows
Climax The character comes face to face with the conflict and changes in some way
Falling Action All loose ends are tied up
Resolution The story is brought to a reasonable ending
