Vocab Practice for Chapter 1

outlier a number in a set of data that is much larger or smaller than the other numbers in the set
perimeter the distance in units around the outside of a figure on a flat surface

experimental probability probability based on the collection of data
mean the average of a set of numbers
percent a ratio that compares a number to 100
probability a number that represents how likely an event is to happen
