vocabulary

TermDefinition
linear Equation that forms a straight line.
non-linear Equation where the line is NOT straight.
variable A symbol taking place of a number.
constant A term with out a variable number.
coefficient The number in front of a variable.
equation Two or more terms with an equal sign.
expression Two or more terms without an equal sign.
term Separated by a plus or minus sign.
like terms Term with the same variable raised to the same power.
distributive power The outside number is multiplied to the terms inside the parenthesis.
