| line segment | Part of a line that consists of two endpoints and all points between them |
| ray | A part of a line, with one endpoint, that continues without end in one direction |
| plane | A flat surface that has no thickness and extends forever |
| line | Made up of points, extends forever in two directions |
| point | An exact location in space |
| midpoint | A point that divides a segment into two congruent segments |
| angle | A figure formed by two rays with a common endpoint |
| vertex | The common endpoint of an angle |
| collinear | Points that lie on the same line |
| ray | A part of a line, with one endpoint, that continues without end in one direction |
| linear pair | A pair of adjacent angles whose noncommon sides are opposite rays. |
| vertical angles | A pair of opposite congruent angles formed by intersecting lines |
| parallel | Lines in the same plane that never intersect |
| perpendicular | Lines that intersect to form right angles |
| coplanar | Points that lie on the same plane |
| adjacent angles | Angles that have a common vertex and a common side. |
| bisector | cuts an object into two equal parts |
| complementary | Two angles sum to 90 degrees |
| supplementary | Two angles sum to 180 degrees |
