| cosecant | Defined as: hypotenuse over opposite. |
| secant | Defined as: hypotenuse over adjacent. |
| cotangent | Defined as: adjacent over opposite. |
| degrees | It is a unit of measure for angles: 360 of them is one revolution. |
| radians | It is a unit of measure for angles: 2pi of them is one revolution. |
| amplitude | It is half the height of a sinusoid. |
| period | It is the length of one horizontal pattern of a sinusoid. |
| phase shift | The horizontal movement of a trigonometric function. |
| vertical shift | The vertical movement of a trigonometric function. |
| cosine | It is the x-value of the corresponding angle on a unit circle. |
| sine | It is the y-value of the corresponding angle on a unit circle. |
| tangent | It is y/x of the corresponding angle on a unit circle. |
