TermDefinition
Family of linear relationships – is a set of relationships that is related in some way. The family of linear relationships has the parent relationship y = x.
Linear equation - an equation with a graph that is a straight line
Linear relationship - a relationship for which the graph is a straight line
Slope - the rate of change between any two points on a line. It is the ratio of vertical change to horizontal change. The slope tells how steep the line is.
Slopt-intercept form - An equation written in the form y = mx + b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.
y-intercept - the y-coordinate of the point where the line crosses the y-axis.
