| Family of linear relationships – | is a set of relationships that is related in some way. The family of linear relationships has the parent relationship y = x. |
| Linear equation - | an equation with a graph that is a straight line |
| Linear relationship - | a relationship for which the graph is a straight line |
| Slope - | the rate of change between any two points on a line. It is the ratio of vertical change to horizontal change. The slope tells how steep the line is. |
| Slopt-intercept form - | An equation written in the form y = mx + b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept. |
| y-intercept - | the y-coordinate of the point where the line crosses the y-axis. |
