Dilation A point P on line OP moves to another point along line OP either further away or closer from the center O and by a positive scale factor of r.
Similar A sequence of rigid transformations and dilations that move one figure so that it fits exactly over another figure.
Slope The quotient of the vertical distance and the horizontal distance between any two point on a line.
Linear Relationship A relationship between two quantities where one quantity has a constant rate of change with respect to the other.
Rate of Change It tells you have much y changes when x changes by 1 in a linear relationship.
Solution to an Equation with Two Variables Any pair of (x,y) that can be used in place of the variables to make the equation true.
Vertical Intercept The point where the graph crosses the vertical axis.
Constant Term In an expression like 5x + 2, it is the number 2 because it doesn't change when x changes.
System of Equations A set of equations where you want to find a solution that makes all the equations true at the same time.
