| Antithetical | Directly opposed or constrained; mutually incompatible |
| Baffling | Impossible to understand; perplexing |
| Paragon | A person or thing viewed as a model or excellence |
| Underminer | To injure or destroy by insidious activity or imperceptible stages, sometimes tending toward a sudden dramatic effect; to attack by indirect or secret means |
| Chronicler | Recording the actions and circumstances |
| Lax | Not sufficiently strict, severe, or careful |
| Epistolary | (Of a literary work) in the form of letters |
| Mundane | Lacking interest or excitement; dull |
| Succinct | Briefly and clearly expressed. (Writing or spoken) |
