| Benighted | In a state of pitiful or contemptible intellectual or moral ignorance, typically owing to lack of opportunity; overtaken by darkness |
| Vapidity | Lacking or having lost life, sharpness or flavor; insipid; flat |
| Platitudes | A remark or statement, especially one with moral content. |
| Euphemism | The substitution of a mild, indirect, or vague expression for one thought to be offensive, harsh, or blunt; a nice way of saying something. |
| Resilient | Able to withstand or recover quickly from difficult conditions. |
| Officious | Assertive of authority in an annoying domineering way, especially with regard to petty or trivial matter; self-important, dictatorial. |
| Torpid | Mentally or physically inactive; lethargic |
| Resplendent | Attractive and impressive through being richly colorful or sumptuous |
