what is an atom an atom is the smallest unit of matter
what is an scientific model? an idea that allows us to create explanations of how we think. some parts of the world works.
what is scientific evidence? collections of observations that many people have made. everyone agrees on the same collection of observations.
what is atomic number? number of protons in the nucleus of an atom.
what is mass number? number of protons + the number of neutrons
what is atomic mass? "weight" or mass of a single atom. (same as mass#, cause most of the weight of an atom is found in the nucleus.
what is atomic weight? the decimal number on the periodic table.
