Equation A statement that values of two mathematical expressions
Variable A letter or symbol replacing a number
Expression Numbers,Symbols and operators grouped together
Coefficient A numerical or constant quantity placed before multiplying the varable
Term Single number or variable ,numbers together
Isolate Using operations to get the variable alone
Factor A number of quantity that given an algebraic expression
Distributive property multiplication over addition when you multiply a number by a sum
Solution A value or values ,we can use instead so a variable to make the equation true
Constant A number next to a letter repeating itself to get the variable alone
Cancel To convert something to another to help get the answer Ex:9\1 x 1\9 so cancel it out
Multiplicative inverse one of a pair of numbers who's product is one
additive inverse one of a pair of numbers who's sum is zero
