Distributive Properties | referring to each individual of a class, not to the class collectively, e.g., each, either. |
Substitution | the action of replacing someone or something with another person or thing. |
Term | a word or phrase used to describe a thing or to express a concept, especially in a particular kind of language or branch of study. |
Variables | not consistent or having a fixed pattern; liable to change. |
Equivalent | equal in value, amount, function, meaning, etc. |
Exponent | a quantity representing the power to which a given number or expression is to be raised, usually expressed as a raised symbol beside the number or expression (e.g., 3 in 23 = 2 × 2 × 2). |
Constant | occurring continuously over a period of time. |
Coefficient | a numerical or constant quantity placed before and multiplying the variable in an algebraic expression (e.g., 4 in 4x y). |
Factor | another term for factorize. |
Quotient | a result obtained by dividing one quantity by another. |
Product | a quantity obtained by multiplying quantities together, or from an analogous algebraic operation |
Sum | find the sum of (two or more amounts) |
