| Term | Definition |

| Conductor | a material or device that conducts or transmits heat, electricity, or sound, especially when regarded in terms of its capacity to do this. |
| Battery | a container consisting of one or more cells, in which chemical energy is converted into electricity and used as a source of power. |
| Circuit | a complete and closed path around which a circulating electric current can flow. |
| Open Circuit | an electrical circuit that is not complete. |
| Transformer | an apparatus for reducing or increasing the voltage of an alternating current. |
| Voltage | an electromotive force or potential difference expressed in volts. |
| Kilowatt | a measure of 1,000 watts of electrical power. |
| Static | a stationary electric charge, typically produced by friction, that causes sparks or crackling or the attraction of dust or hair. |
