TermDefinition
Ratio A ratio shows the relative sizes of 2 or more values
Rate Ratio of 2 measurements that have different units (like miles and hours, or dollars and ounces)
Percent Parts of 100
Markup Amount added to the base cost of a product or service
Discount A reduction in price
Vertices (plural) A point where 2 or more line segments meet, a corner
Horizontal line Horizontal line-Going side -to-side, like the horizion.
Equation A statement that states 2 things are equal "this equals that" That equations says: What is on the left (x+2) is equal to what is on the right (6)
