| consonants | any letter that is not a vowel |
| indefinite articles | a, an |
| adjectives | a word that describes a noun or pronoun |
| noun | a person, place, thing, or idea student, school, pencil, happiness |
| pronoun | a word that can take the place of a noun Mary is friendly. She is friendly. She is a pronoun. |
| common noun | any person, place, thing or idea (woman, house, tree, fear) |
| proper noun | the name of a specific (one) person, place, or thing- begin with a capital letter Mary, Japan, the Statue of Liberty |

| form | a paper with spaces for you to write or fill in information |
| emergency | a dangerous/terrible situation (someone falls down, someone is very, very sick, a fire, a car accident) Call 911 |
