QuestionAnswer
"For" in the present perfect tense helps us to: measure a period of time up to the present.
"Since" in the present perfect tense helps us to: give a point in time when something started.
"For" plus A period of time: For ten years, for six months, etc.
"Since" plus A point in time: since 1999, since I was six years old, etc.
Example: I have lived in this city for... five years.
Example: I have played chess since... 2002.
Example: My sister has practiced football... since she was five years old.
Example: Josue and Gladys have lived in San Miguel... for ten years.
We ask “how long” to know about... an amount of time or the quantity of time for something.
Complete the sentence: How long have you... lived in México?
We make "yes/no" questions to talk about... experiences in general in someone else's life.
