Algebra Vocabulary Study Stack

TermDefinition
Quadratic function a function that has an x^2 as its largest exponent
Vertex the highest or lowest part of a quadratic
Root where the graph touches the x-axis or where the equation equals zero
Axis of symmetry the vertical line that cuts a quadratic function in half
Parabola the graph of a quadratic function
Trinomial three terms
Binomial two terms
Polynomial more than one term
Factor break a trinomial into the multiplication of 2 binomials
Coefficient A number in front of a variable
