Commutative Property for Addition (ORDER) you can add in either order and it's the same
Associative Property for Addition (GROUPING) you can group things differently and it doesn't change
Additive Identity Property (PLUS 0) if you add anything plus 0, it is itself
Additive Inverse Property (OPPOSITES) anything plus its opposite always equals 0
Commutative Property for Multiplication (ORDER) you can multiply in either order and it stays the same
Associative Property for Multiplication (GROUPING) you can group things differently and the value is the same
Multiplicative Identity Property (TIMES 1) if you multiply anything times 1, it will be that number
Zero Property for Multiplication (TIMES 0) anything times 0 is 0
Commutative Property for Addition 5 + 3 = 3 + 5
Associative Property for Addition (3 + 1) + 5 = 3 + (1 + 5)
Additive Identity Property 3 + 0 = 3
Additive Inverse Property 6 + (-6) = 0
Commutative Property for Multiplication 4 x 6 = 6 x 4
Associative Property for Multiplication (2 x 3) x 4 = 2 x (3 x 4)
Multiplicative Identity Property 10 x 1 = 10
Zero Property for Multiplication 9 x 0 = 0
Multiplicative Inverse Property multiplicative inverse is a reciprocal and when multiplied together, the answer is 1 (the reciprocal of 1/7 is 7/1)
Multiplicative Inverse Property 1/5 x 5/1 = 1
