| inmates | people confined in prison or similar situations |
| legitimately | rightfully, lawful, valid based on law |
| massacre | slaughter, often used to refer to mass killings of people |
| quarantine | isolation to prevent spread of disease |
| sabotaged | deliberately, destroyed, ruined on purpose |
| uprising | revolt, often used to refer to prisoners or slaves who turn against those in charge |
| vile | loathsome, hateful, awful, cruel |
