Unit 1 Math

Vocabulary Words

QuestionAnswer
Denominator The number written below the line in a fraction. It tells how many equal parts are in the whole.
Coordinate Plane The plane containing the "x" axis and "y" axis.
Equation a math sentence stating that two things are equal.
Unit Rate a rate with a second term of 1
Coordinates a set of values that show an exact position.
Ordered Pairs represent a position on a coordinate plane
Ratio relationship between two quantities
Dividend The amount that you want to divide up.
Divisor The number we divide by.
Numerator The number or expression written above the line in a fraction.
Percent a special ratio comparing a number to 100 using this symbol %
