QuestionAnswer
Controversy a public debate or dispute concerning a matter of opinion.
Argument a set of reasons given with the aim of persuading others that an action or idea is right or wrong.
Claim stating a position or opinion on a topic.
Reasons the points that explain why the author is making a certain claim.
Evidence facts, details, and information that support the reasons for the claim.
Citation the practice of quoting or referring to sources of textual evidence.
Elaboration explaining the evidence (reason) more.
Formal Style a style of writing or speaking that is appropriate for formal communication such as in academics or business.
Connotation the implied meaning of a word.
Denotation the dictionary meaning of a word.
