Consumer Math Chapter 3 Vocabulary

salary the fixed pay for regular work
yearly salary the amount of money earned in one year or 12 months
employee a person who is hired to work for another person or business
monthly salary the amount of money earned in one month
weekly salary the amount of money earned in one week or 7 days
employer a person or business that gives work to another person
time card a record of the hours an employee works
overtime the hours worked beyond the number of hours in the regular work week
hourly wage the amount of money paid for one hour of work
percent a part of a whole, based on 100 parts
commission a fee that is sometimes paid for sales work; a commission is uaually a percent of the total sale
