Opposites the same distance from zero and on opposite sides of zero o the number line
Rational Number Any number that can be written in the form of a/b where a and b are integers and b is not zero
Absolute Value distance from zero on a number line
Coordinate Plane The intersection of a horizontal and vertical number line at right angles
Ordered Pair represents a point on the coordinate plane
Origin starting point on a coordinate plane (0,0)
X axis the horizontal number line
Y axis the vertical number line
Quadrants the four regions of the coordinate plane formed by the intersection of the X and Y axis
