Metabolism | the chemical processes that occur within a living organism in order to maintain life |

Intervention | an occasion on which a person with an addiction or other behavioral problem is confronted by a group of friends or family members in an attempt to persuade them to address the issue. |
Strides | cross an obstacle with one long step |
Contention | an assertion, especially one maintained in argument. |
Revolution | a dramatic and wide-reaching change in the way something works or is organized or in people's ideas about it |
Serendipitous | occurring or discovered by chance in a happy or beneficial way. |
Excess | lack of moderation in an activity, especially eating or drinking. |
Advocacy | public support for or recommendation of a particular cause or policy. |

Edible | fit to be eaten (often used to contrast with unpalatable or poisonous examples) |

Tenacious | not readily relinquishing a position, principle, or course of action; determined. |
Palates | a person's appreciation of taste and flavor, especially when sophisticated and discriminating. |
Audacity | the willingness to take bold risks |
