How to find parts of a scale drawing

| What does the scale 1 to 12 describe? | "1 part in the drawing is the same as 12 of the same parts in the actual" For ex: 1 inch in the drawing is 12 inches in the actual. OR 1 Grace in the drawing is 12 Graces in the actual. This means that the actual is 12 times BIGGER than the drawing. |
