written for decimals 24.67 = twenty four and sixty seven hundredths
tenths the name of the place to the right of the decimal point ex. 76.4 the 4 is in the tenths place; the value is 0.4
hundredths the name of the place to the right of the tenths ex. 65.48 the 8 is in the hundredths place; the value is 0.08
thousandths the name of the place to the right of the hundredths ex. 78.341 the 1 is in the thousandths place; the value is 0.001
decimal fraction a fraction written as a decimal ex. 64/100 = 0.64
