L3-Matter

QuestionAnswer
matter Anything that has weight and takes up space
atom smallest part of an element that can exist alone. All matter is made up of atoms.
energy Light, electricity, and heat. Energy is used and produced in chemical reactions.
physics The scientivfic study of both matter and energy in great detail.
states All matter can exist in three different states: solid, liquid, or gas.
physical properties characteristics of matter, such as color, odor, taste, boiling point, and melting point.
chemical properties The ways mater reacts with other types of matter in a chemical reaction.
